The AMOA Coin-Op Cares Education & Charitable Foundation administers two programs designed to assist students further their college education. Funding for these programs come from the Hesch Scholarship Raffle program and generous donations from friends and colleagues in the industry. Wayne E. Hesch Memorial Scholarship

Since its inception in 1985, the Hesch Scholarship program has awarded more than $950,000 in scholarships. Named in memory of the late 1979 AMOA President Wayne E. Hesch, the scholarship program raises funds through raffles held each year. Applicants must gain an endorsement from an AMOA member company and many Hesch Scholarship recipients have worked in - or are related to someone engaged in - the coin-operated equipment business.

Applications for the Wayne E. Hesch Memorial Scholarship are accepted through January each year. The form is available by calling AMOA at 800-937-2662. Winners are announced in the spring.

Rich Holley Memorial Music Scholarship

Named in honor of Rich Holley, AMOA President from September 2002 until his untimely death in March 2003, this program is administered through the University of Florida School of Music. Each year, the program will offer up to two scholarships for University of Florida students to pursue music studies.

The program is based in Rich's adopted home state of Florida and recognizes his many years a professional musician and continued love of performing after entering the coin-op business.
