New Name for Expo HQ Hotel |
|
Starting Jan. 3, the hotel that has been "home" for virtually all of the industry's trade shows in recent years will have a new name, as the Las Vegas Hilton on Paradise Road becomes LVH—the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
The March 14-16, AAMA-AMOA Amusement Expo — to be conducted at the adjacent Las Vegas Convention Center — has again designated the soon-to-be LVH as its headquarters hotel, securing a $109 nightly rate for this year's attendees and exhibitors. Both associations will conduct leadership meetings at LVH prior to the show, AMOA's 2012 Annual Membership Meeting will be conducted there, and the March 14 Industry Opening Gala Party will also be held at the hotel that "the King" — Elvis Presley — put his mark on during his reign in the entertainment industry.
Just as Chicago and the Conrad Hilton became synonymous with industry gatherings of yesteryear, Las Vegas and the Hilton on Paradise have achieved the same status during the past dozen years.
If you will be attending or exhibiting your company's wares at the 2012 Amusement Expo, the second most popular spot — after the show floor at the Convention Center — for meeting current or potential customers, colleagues, suppliers and even competitors is the soon-to-be LVH.
Whether it's in one of the hotel's restaurants, bars, hallways, elevators or even cab lines, chances are you will cross paths with people you want to see.
