AMOA encourages the creation and growth of state trade associations for coin-op business people.

Each year, we host two meetings designed to provide a forum for the interchange of information and sharing of ideas. Historically, the Council of Affiliated States Luncheon has taken place during the AMOA International Expo in the fall. It was here state association leaders discussed current issues in their areas.

In February, AMOA hosts the Council of Affiliated States Meeting. This two-day program provides educational seminars on topics related to state association management. In the past, these seminars have included Running a State Tournament, Smoking Bans, Forming or Administering State PACs, Music Piracy and Jukebox Licensing. AMOA sponsors this event and provides one night's lodging for up to two association leaders.

Through our State Rebate program, AMOA offers additional financial support to State Associations. For each member of a state association who is also a member of AMOA, the association receives a rebate. In 2009, more than $13,000 was given to state associations.

Our State Association Manual provides those just beginning or looking to establish a state association guidelines and information for doing so. The book, offered free of charge from the AMOA office, focuses on such areas as establishing the association as non-profit, developing membership, selecting board members and more.
