About Metro Distributors
In 1960, two brothers, Gunnar and Ralph Gabrielson founded S&S Music Company. Gunnar had just completed a long association, as both an officer and a distributor, with Seeburg Corporation.
Shortly after the purchase of Metro Vending in 1968, and following the untimely death of his brother and partner, Ralph Gabrielson formed Metro Distributors, Inc. In short time, Ralph built a successful and profitable company – providing jukeboxes, amusement games, and cigarette machines to a growing number of establishments.
Susan (Gabrielson) joined the company in 1973, and soon after, in 1976, Ralph and Susan were joined by Gaines Butler. Gaines and Susan were married soon afterwards, in 1977. Gaines continued working with the Metro, taking his place not long after as the company President.
Since 1991, Metro Distributors has focused primarily on jukeboxes. In 1995, Gaines and Susan Butler completed their purchase of Metro. Today, Metro owns and operates over 250 jukeboxes within the Metro Atlanta area and manages vending relationships for a chain of 24-hour restaurants.
Metro Distributors’ senior management team includes Ken Gabrielson, and Jonathan Ciaburri.
