From the AMOA President’s Desk – November 2025

“Gather,” it’s a word you see everywhere as the Thanksgiving holiday draws close. For me, it immediately brings to mind images of special time spent with family and friends, and of course, over-indulging in the traditional Thanksgiving feast!

Reflecting on the past 6-8 weeks, “gather” has been the focal point of my presidential duties.

• In mid-September, 34 of AMOA’s volunteer leaders met in Vermont at the AMOA Mid-Year Board Meeting to continue planning as well as developing new programs to benefit our membership. I’m most grateful for the time, talent and resources these industry leaders selflessly give for the betterment of our industry.
• During the months of September and October, I attended 5 different state association annual meetings/events and was quite impressed with the number of members in attendance to support their state organization.
• Last month, I attended AMOA’s On the Road Program, and again, was impressed by the number of members taking time to gather with their industry peers to be educated and find ways to better their businesses as they look to the future.
• And finally, last week, I had the opportunity to “gather” during IAAPA where AMOA promoted the operator along with sharing the many benefits available to AMOA members. I also had the opportunity to meet with, and thank, our many Game Master sponsors who generously support the AMOA throughout the year.

In closing, I want to thank you for being part of our AMOA family, and during this season of Thanksgiving, I wish you and yours all the best as you “gather” and celebrate later this week.
