Fair Access to Banking

Fair access to banking should be available to ALL legitimate businesses. Legitimate businesses should be treated on their financial merits as opposed to being broadly classified as risky businesses.

Consumer Choice in Payment

AMOA supports H.R. 1138 and S. 2326, the Payment Choice Act. This bipartisan bill requires U.S. cash to be accepted as a form of payment in retail locations on sales of up to $500.

Safe Access to Cash

AMOA supports H.R. 1631, the Safe Access to Cash Act which updates the 1939 bank robbery laws to make theft at independently operated ATM’s a federal crime. This law is crucial to the safety of AMOA members operating ATMs.
