From the AMOA President’s Desk – January 2026
January 22, 2026 | CATEGORY: AMOA News
The new year is in full swing with a flurry of activity! In my own business, we conducted a successful dart tournament this past weekend, and this week I will begin my final stretch of travels as your 2025-2026 AMOA president.
On Thursday, I travel to the CEMA annual meeting and spotlight show where they will provide an update on the steps they have been taking to protect their members specifically when it comes to crane operations.
Next week, I will travel to Orlando where AMOA will be conducting its annual State Council Meeting, bringing together close to 65 representatives from 25 states to discuss the legislative landscape across the country. This is one of the most informative meetings of the year and a great way to kick off 2026 “in the know”.
Early next month, AMOA will be heading back to Washington, D.C. on February 11-12 to meet with Congressional offices to discuss guidance as it relates to last August’s executive order regarding debanking due to reputational risk. AMOA will be advocating for proposed guidance that will protect our members moving forward when it comes to fair access to banking. In addition, we will also emphasize the negative impact high health care costs place on small businesses.
And finally, I encourage you to plan ahead and book your hotel accommodation at Resorts World, our new headquarter hotel for Amusement Expo International (AEI). We are excited to share a “new” experience with all the amenities Resorts World has to offer. As March Madness quickly approaches, you’ll want to lock in the favorable room rates being offered by AEI.
In closing, thank you for being a member of AMOA. It is our mission to advocate for your best interests in DC and continue “elevating the entertainment experience” with programs such as AEI.
Cheers,
Brian Brotsch
AMOA President
